The feet are certainly looking good. VG would be very smart in making some of your mods standard or at least an option.

Well you know, funny thing that. Aside from adding an internal foot plate, I ended up not modifying the feet. Reason being, when I made the foot plates I took my measurements off a doll I had already modified, by opening the seam between the heel and ankle and adding a small wedge of fabric. It's a very simple mod, but does 4 things. Better defines the heel, brings the foot around more even to the floor, elongates the foot about an inch, while simultaneously making the doll a half inch taller.

I took the measurements off that doll, because I had yet to modify this one. Well, I forgot that I hadn't modified Meg's feet yet when I test fit the foot plates. They fit perfectly. Then I thought, "Wait a minute, they shouldn't have fit yet..." I thought I had cut them wrong so I measured her foot. Much to my surprise, it was the exact same length as the doll I had modified.

Upon further investigation, I discovered the diamond shaped section of fabric that forms the heel is now longer. Basically making my mod unnecessary. Robert did like that mod when I first did it, so could be it was easier to alter the foot design slightly rather than making it an option. One less seam anyway. 👣

I was fashioning a "Y" and "T" connector for the skeleton from some scrap wood I had lying around. They sell those, but they cost more than the ball and socket skeleton itself! 💲

So I took saw and drill to wood and had at it. Unfortunately, I failed to notice the knot in one of the pieces of scrap wood. The drill bucked, the end of my spade bit snapped off and went through my finger! 😭

Oh well. Hogged out the remaining holes with a rasp bit and finished up. Not pretty, but it'll do. 👌

Well you could always turn it into a mask, Jyoti ji I believe Mr. Franz has already tried that!

That's okay. I drilled 2 holes in her pelvic link, straight through her leg bones and out the other side today to insert cotter pins. I think we're even now. 🍻

Gonna need more polyester fluff for the other half. I'm having to pack it rather tight due to the skeleton and ran out. Speaking of, need more of that too for her arms. So while I'm waiting, think I'll get started on her fingers. Another fun, tedious task... 🙄

It was supposed to be, but this one is sewn a bit different. Revised design I suppose.
Nah, "Emily's" and VG's "Round" option. "Magic Canyon" is similar to the round option, but pops the behind out a bit more.

Oh well I think that's the version I went for with Thea, maybe not the same as chance has. Yes Theas bum pops out🤣🤣

It's easy to tell "Round Butt" from "Magic Canyon" as magic has extra vertical seams either side of center.

Funny project, this. So far everything I thought was going to be tedious and time consuming has turned out to be relatively easy. Just finished fashioning the finger wires. ✋
Same 12g multi-strand insulated wire I used in Chance's hands, only this time instead of putting the wire in first and stuffing the fluff in around them afterward, which took hours, I sharpened the end of a 1/4 inch dowel with a pencil sharpener and carefully punched a whole down through the the center of the fluff in each finger. (Valentina Girls come with the fingers and toes already stuffed even on the unstuffed shells like MEG here) Wires slid right in. Took all of 10 minutes! :)

This time I also decided to forego making a wrist plate and just cap the end of the wires. The wrist plate proved problematic with Chance and the capped end fits much better in the end of the arm bone. 🦴

Bit of a snafu attaching the arms to it though. Whole collar tie split lengthwise as I was drilling holes for the cotter pins. No worries. A man with glue and duct tape cam mend anything! 🙃

Borrowed it in bluray from our local library just yesterday. Going to watch it over the weekend.

I don't know how it is in the UK, but here, you can borrow movies and TV series for free at most libraries. I think librarians love the BBC as sometimes it feels like they have every British series ever made.

Between that and streaming - killed all of the video rental stores dead amazingly fast

Yes I used to love the video & DVD rental shops, my Sister used to work in one and she used to get time coded copies to borrow of films 3 months before they came out, before all this streaming came out. We also used to have a big blockbuster in town too that rented them out.

Yes we used to be able to borrow movies from our local libraries, but then streaming put a stop to that, a lot of folk have smart TVs and internet, I don't. I just set a hotspot up on my phone if I want to use my laptop

Okay, folks. Gonna make some adjustments once the fluff inside has had a chance to settle, but here she is. :)
Wish I'd had the waist lengthened a bit, but other than that, didn't turn out too bad. Dress will need tailoring and perhaps shortened some and definitely ironed, but that's easy enough. 🫶
