OK, I logged onto the new site. Will all the threads be transferred over, or do we have to do it manually?

They will all be migrated over when this forum is closed. That way you wont loose any threads or post.

I know I'm just a doll girl, but I don't get it. Such a big struggle to recreate what we already have here that works. Yeah, merging doll accounts with owners is nice, but seems like you're burning down the house just to make toast. Mr Franz' father-in-law use to say that. Anyways, I want to stay here....😔

Yea, plus all the other changes that is impossible to do here. Infact can't change this site at all.

On other site I have brought back those lovely pictures for the groups.
You have views on every post now
Brillient Galleries. Every member gets one on there profile page. Up the them if they want eceryone to see it,. justy members, hide it.
Pictures on it can be hidden one at a time and put in your private folder, just so you can make your gallery look nice.
People ask improvements and they can be done, like the better latest post page etc.
Its as fast as this site except now-and-then there is a pause when loading a page, trying to get past that, I will beat it eventually.
You can make your own theme colours.

I know, Story ji. It was just my 2 rupees, which aren't worth much even in India. Just feels like when wife girl got a new phone coz it had features her old phone didn't have. She loved the new features, but the one thing it didn't do as well as her old phone is make calls. And now she's busy trying to make it look and act like her old phone...

Of course your opinion matters Jyoti, and i understand completely. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The main reason I built this site is because I get so frustrated that I can't change things to make them better on the old site. Its a great site, and don't get me wrong, I love it. But updates are very slow and they don't make any real changes to how the site works, and I pay good money for the updates. So the site is starting to feel a little stale to me.

I'm not staying the new one is going to have loads of changes all the time, but if we all feel something needs changing, or a new feature needs adding, we can now attempt it. Much better I feel than relying on others to do it, and keep getting disappointed.

I'm now working on the alerts for the new site, something you or mr franz asked for I believe? I'm glad to help.

Me and my Girlies are VERY appreciative of all the hard work that Mr Story must be putting into the new site. I do understand it really is a hard slog and basically for no or very little recompense other than the “fun” of doing it.
I also find myself wondering why it’s necessary though?

I really like the clean layout of the new one but this one seems easier to use - could be I have just got used to this one though…….

Yes its just a case of giving it a chance.I feel its very easy to use once you have learned the layout. Most of it is just the topic screen and repling to posts isn't it?

The alerts are now working on new site. :D
