OK, now i have pretty completed the AI forum and have it wotking great (always some little bugs to fix here and there), I'm seroius considering updating the doll forum. It all depends on if I can get a new forum to accept all the members and all the threads and posts we already have, but if i can then consider that you could sign in once, then have a number of child accounts (your dolls) so you can pick who you are posting as without the faff of keep signing in and out all the time. Each could have a different colour forum as you do now to help remind you who is online.

Do you all want to try it, I'll build new website in a subforum until sure it would work of course. Then in the future we can add or delete what we like because its our unique forum and not something we have to rely on others to update.

Sounds good to me. If it means not having to sign out and sign in, if you want to change accounts, then that can only be a good thing.

I’ve been doing some deep "under the hood" research lately regarding our forum software. I have an idea for a custom-built site, but I won’t spend a month building it unless I know it’s something you actually want. Now is the time to speak up!

Why even consider a new site? As much as we love our current setup, I want to build something "leaner"—all the features we love without the bloat. Most importantly, I want to solve the "Login Shuffle."

The Big Feature: Parent & Child Accounts The main goal is to introduce a Unified Identity system:

• One Login: You sign in once as yourself (the human).
• Easy Switching: You can instantly "switch" into any of your dolls/characters with one click. No more logging in and out to post as different characters!
• Individual Identities: Even though they are "linked" to you, each doll remains a separate account. They keep their own unique privileges, their own access to specific forums, and their own individual ranking systems.

Will we lose our history? No. I’ve confirmed that we can transfer all users, threads, posts, and images. If we move, we take our entire world with us—nothing gets left behind.

The Plan: I will build a "Demo" version on a subdomain. This will be a playground where you can test the new "Doll Switcher" and give feedback while the current forum stays exactly as it is. We only move when (and if) we are all happy.

I need your thoughts:

• Does the "One-Click Doll Switcher" sound like something that would make roleplaying easier for you?
• Are there any "must-have" features you’d want in a custom-built site?

Please let me know what you think below. This is our community, and I want to build it the way you want to use it!

OK folks, starting to work on it now.

Whether the present setup or the proposed new setup, it won't affect me.

I figured out a work-around long time ago. I have 3 browsers on my laptop, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. That gives me three simultaneous logins. To change who posts, I just switch between browsers (all are kept open). Each account is set to a different color (style) on the forum. I am purple on Edge, addie on Firefox is blue, and pex on Chrome is green so we all know who's if posting.

Only just seen this, as long as it works on an android phone, will all the different sub forums stay the same within the forum? But yeah it would help with role play Story😊

I still can't log in properly on my phone and if i do log in it comes up with a message at the bottam of my screen, Username has changed please log in, so i have to make a second attempt and that normally works

Well, I personally have no problem logging in and out to switch accounts. Prefer doing it that way actually. I only use one at a time anyway. On the rare occasion I need to use doll and personal accounts simultaneously, easy enough to open a separate browser.. I also like the look and feel of the platform the forum is on now. So personally, I'd rather it stay as is.

OK, you will have the choice of joinging your accounts together or leaving them seperate, it's up to you.
All the colour options for each account should be available to you.

I'm happy to join them all together, whatever makes life easier, but i use an android Samsung Galaxy phone which is quite old I'm afraid and it doesn't get updates anymore by samsung.

I hardly ever use my laptop, as i always have my phone with me, its just more convenient 😊

The new site should be better on phones that the current site! I'll be foucusing on phones.

Noted, you may get your wish if i can't get all the posts and threads to work. The pictures are going to be a nightmare!

I just replaced the the wife's Samsung with a Moto G-Play. Worlds better than the more expensive Samsung, IMO. Never did like that phone.
Been there, done that. Years ago I helped moderate another forum on the XenForo platform. Ownership changed hands and they decided to swap servers. The move was a nightmare. Years and years of photos ended up in limbo with only the thumbnails remaining! IT claimed they were still in the system somewhere, but could never find them. 🤷‍♂️

I found them with the help of Gemini. They are another format entirely and will all need to be converted to jpg.
Years ago you didn't have Ai so yea, much more difficult to find.

You can log into your accounts but there not much there yet. I'll be looking at threads and posts next. Theres no passwords so you'll have to make your own using the lost password link on the login screen.

OIC the messages are reduced to a single line when zoomed in too much.

Yeah, only I'm not zoomed in. It looks that way at normal screen size. I have to zoom out to get it to look right.

Using the password reset doesn’t work for me using my iPhone

When you zoom out are the words easy enough to read? It looks very zoomed in on 100%
I wonder if i have the text size too big?

Can others try logging into new site, you'll have to use the lost password link to crerate a new password. It worked NP for me, but I want to know if anyone else is struggling with that.

I'd say yes. Even on desktop the text is very big, as if I had zoomed in deliberately - but I haven't.
