I’m having problems logging in. It keeps saying it doesn’t recognise the password. So I’ve asked it to send a reset link, but I’ve not received one.

Ok pm me a temporory password and I'll sort it for you

Oh two of you struggling, I'll have the Ai to have a look at the password reset.

I have reduced the avatar and side bar columns on the thread page so thers more room for the post messages.

I’ve managed to login, but the font seems very large. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a top bar advising of notifications, new posts, private messages and a search icon, as we have here

Thats because i haven't getting that far yet jedze. Still a lot of work to do.

I have just about finished with the thread page. I have the report button to do, and the likes. I need to do all the shortcuts for admins to move posts and threads and stck them and all that kind of thing.

I need to do the promotion thing for members, I might reward members getting quite high in the posts with special emotes they can use. Also I know you like to change the way it displays your levels with your own version when your high enough. I will have the member shown for all dolls so you know whom they are connected to, that way you know that doll belongs to that member and is sister to that other doll etc. All this kind of info will be on the members profile screen, together with links to their latest threads and posts.

You can quote posts, reply to threads ,upload images and change images size on larger screens, rotate them if they upload sidwards, align text down their sides or not. There are some smilies now, there is the gifs we all love. A nice way to communicate.

Next is to create a new thread buttion, but for now only admins can use them. Everything on the site now is pretty much what you will get when we go live.

After that I will do the merge of the doll accounts to members. i already have some of this in place.

Then there is the message system, maybe not as great as the old site, but it will be like a proper chat window. Not sure if you'll be able tio have multiple people yet, I will try for that.

Can't think of anything else as yet.

I like the idea of showing which dolls are connected to which members.
Will I still keep my title of “Super Member”? I can’t think of anything else to call myself, and I quite like the idea of being a “Super Member”

Looks a little better now, but I think the right side bar on the forums list page is sufficient. Takes up too much space in the individual threads.

I imagine small pics look better on phones and tablets, but look odd to me on a larger screen. especially with the header and sidebars displaying big. Now if I zoom out to compensate for that, I have to strain to see the pics.

I'll keep adjusting it as we go, but in meantime I still have to get some of the background stuff done.

I'm not sure what the new promotions will be yet, I will be working on thst soon.

May I add my suggestion. I noticed this 'problem' last year, but due to the events in July that caused it, I decided to remain silent on the matter until a revamp was in the offing.

In the 'public' or 'safe' section there are many forums, Picture Perfect,' Your Companions Foum,' and 'Doll Stories' to name just three, each contain many threads. Then, prior to July some of these threads were moved to one of the Chili sections to comply with the requirements. However all of these threads were placed there en masse.

Any new thread in either of the Chili Forums will only be visable for a matter of a couple of hours at most before other members post their contributions and they all move down, eventually reaching the bottom before being lost. Therefore I suggest the forums in the safe section be replicated in the Chili section.

Firstly, thank you for reposting that link, I was getting a little tried of scrolling back to post #17 😆 . I will get around to adding it to my favourites at some point.

I have popped on and off the new site a few times and just noted a few thoughts, I assume you have got all this in hand or working on it or around it.

Does everyone need to copy down any important information from any DM's before the move or will those copy across to the new forum. I haven't actually got anything that needs keeping, I was just thinking other members might have.

Will you be designing a search menu?

I noticed there isn't font styles set up, and around the text in various members posts is it displays [FONT=georgia] [/FONT] around the text.

All good questions. Yes still working on the new site, many many hours are going into it. I'm enjoying the challenge.

I have been doing tidy up all day today, making the forum look nice on mobiles. Making sure the last post works as they weren't working right just thi morning. Now they do.

I have introduced smilies, and gifs, and a make a "New Thread" button on the threads page. Only admins can create new threads for now though until site is live.

Currently working on the like buttons to bring them inline with what we have now.

Yes there will be a good search bar, and other ways to search posts too, including tags and galleries. Galleries will be a big feature and they should look and work like the galleries on the AI website, they are stunning! They will only be available according to your member ranking.

So you can't edit old pictures from the xenforo site, but will be able to loaded on new site. You will be able to edit text on any post and add the character search feature for photos. More about that later.

Okay, so the new site doesn't display quite right for me, but I noticed something a little odd last night. It looks much better on my ancient PC.

It runs an older version of Windows that just isn't compatible with many sites anymore, so I surf the web via a portable Linux setup on that device. Works just fine. Thing is, that PC also has a PAL 5:4, European spec monitor, not NTSC. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not, but the new site looks closer to the way the old site looks when viewed on that monitor, while on all my other devices, all widescreen NTSC, the new site looks zoomed-in.

Odd part is, this site looks fine on both and displays correctly.

Oh... my bad. I just realized what's going on. Nothing to do with monitor specs, just the sidebars are smaller now since I last checked on that device. Displays the same way on all of them.

I am moving the new site to a new loction, this way I know it will not break when moving from the mldf folder to the root. It is playing up since the move but I'll get it sorted. EWhen ready its just a case of swapping the domain name to mylovedoll. I'll let you know the new link when ready, its a mess on there atm. The other new site still works until i get this done, then I'll delete it. Beleave it or not, the new site with all the pictures is 5GBS!!!!! Thats mostly the images. I bet theres hundreds if not thousand of orpahn images on there, I will give it a clean and delete all orphan images soon.
